Join our team as a Financial Crime Manager, supporting the Head of Financial Crime (FC) and MLRO in providing expert advisory and monitoring services to ensure compliance with financial crime regulations. Act as the Financial Crime expert for Mobilize FS and RCI Bank, deputising as the firm’s Nominated Officer.
What will you do:
- Act as the Financial Crime expert for Mobilize FS and RCI Bank and deputise the role of the firm’s Nominated Officer. Will be responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholders (to include external agencies, the law enforcements, and the regulators).
- Enhance and develop the financial crime assurance framework.
- Support the development of policies, procedures, and processes to manage financial crime risks.
- Assist with the annual financial crime risk assessment and MLRO report preparation.
- Provide SME input for new products and initiatives to ensure compliance.
- Conduct investigations into suspected financial crime cases.
- Design and deliver internal MI reporting and support regulatory reporting.
- Oversee transaction monitoring and act as an escalation point.
- Provide oversight and challenge to Risk and Control Self Assessments.
- Advise on financial crime technology solutions and their implementation.
- Support 2nd Line oversight of 3rd parties.
- Guide 1st Line stakeholders on Customer Due Diligence.
- Enhance the firm’s fraud management capabilities.
- Maintain financial crime frameworks, including policies and procedures.
- Design and deliver financial crime training.
- Conduct horizon scanning for regulatory changes.
What you will have:
- Thorough understanding of MLRs, Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, Terrorism Act 2000, Bribery Act, and UK Sanctions law.
- Knowledge of UK regulatory obligations, including Money Laundering Regulations and FATF Guidance.
- Understanding of banking and asset/motor finance products and associated financial crime risks.
- Experience in developing internal controls and processes.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting to stakeholders.
- Ability to produce clear policies, procedures, reports, and presentations.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Proven decision-making and investigative abilities.
- Ability to distil complex KYC and AML issues and provide clear advice.
- Experience with risk management and compliance software systems.
- Ability to take a risk-based approach to fraud and AML challenges.
