This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
As a shift Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in keeping the site running smoothly by maintaining the reliable operation of the process plants, including a CHP facility. You will carry out a variety of multiskilled maintenance tasks across liquid, slurry and food processing equipment, with training and support provided to help you develop your skills where needed. This is a shift based role operating on a 12 hour pattern, covering days and nights.
Key Accountabilities- Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment.
- Be multi-skilled in both Electrical & Instrument and Mechanical maintenance and be committed to continuous development as necessary.
- Undertake training to multi-skill and in Predictive Maintenance Tasks.
- Work safely and in full compliance with site safety, hygiene and quality standards.
- Support and follow CHP routines as required.
- Accurately record work using the site maintenance management system SAP.
- Communicate effectively with production and shift management teams.
You will be a time served engineer with experience working in a manufacturing or process environment. You will be comfortable working in a fast paced, safety critical setting and be open to developing your skills across multiple disciplines.
Minimum Requirements- BTEC HNC, level 3 or equivalent in engineering discipline.
- Fully completed a recognized trade certification in either electrical/instrument/mechanical engineering and have multi-skilling experience.
- Experience working in a large scale manufacturing or processing plant.
- Multiskilling experience or a strong willingness to cross skill.
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills.
- A strong safety first mindset.
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or process industries.
- Exposure to CHP operations.
- BOAS certification or willingness to work towards it.
Working within a 5 SHIFT SYSTEM - 4 on 4 off, 4 on 6 off, 2 x 18 days breaks each year.
