Delivery & Maintenance Operative – West London Depot
45 hours per week + overtime | Immediate start

MVIS is the UK’s leading supplier of portable Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), including portable Variable Message Signs (VMS), portable CCTV, and other ITS equipment. We work predominantly within Highways Traffic Management and the Events sector, providing high-quality solutions nationwide.

Overview

Are you looking for a hands-on role, we are seeking a Delivery & Maintenance Operative to join our team in Woking, West London. This role involves delivering, setting up, and maintaining our products predominantly across the Southern region with occasional work in other areas of the UK.

The Role

  • Deliver, install, and service ITS equipment on-site in an orderly manner being considerate of other road users and pedestrians.
  • Diagnose and repair faults
  • Carry out routine maintenance and servicing.
  • Follow company policies, processes, and health & safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with the technical team and provide excellent customer service.
  • Operate towing vehicles and/or beavertail transporters to move units.
  • Carry out physically demanding work, positioning equipment in roadside and pavement locations.
  • Work flexible hours, including nights and weekend shifts.

Essential Requirements

  • UK driving licence, minimum of B+E
  • Basic mechanical and electrical (DC) knowledge.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, and repair technical equipment.
  • IT skills and proficient with GPS and apps
  • Good English literacy.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and travel across the UK.
  • Strong customer relations management.
  • CSCS card.
  • Traffic Management experience.
  • Punctuality and reliability.

Desirable

  • CE1 + CPC
  • First aid qualification.
  • Lone working experience.
  • Vehicle maintenance knowledge.
  • Manual handling training.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws
