The Role:
We are seeking reliable and proactive IT Technicians to provide ad-hoc technical support across software, hardware, and networking. This is a flexible part-time role, ideally suited for individuals seeking casual work. You will typically be scheduled for 3-5 days per month, with opportunities to take on additional roles within the organisation, such as exam delivery support as a Test Administrator (invigilator).
Job Details:
- Casual Zero-hours basis (weekday and/or weekend availability)
- Salary: Β£18.10 per hour including 12.07% holiday pay for casual IT Technician role. The pay rates will vary if you take part in other support roles following MTS\βs Pay Policy.
- Location: Office-based role, at Cardiff CF10 1AT
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Start date: Within 1 month
- Reporting To: Associate Director (Exams Technology & Networks)
Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 (and occasional Level 2) IT support for the setup and delivery of exams.
- Maintain and check IT infrastructure, including network switches and cabling (remote assistance will be provided when required).
- Support the preparation, installation, and decommissioning of temporary/pop-up sites when needed.
- Assist with IT-related projects to support company operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
