Salary: £35,000 – £45,000

We are seeking a Level 1 Radiographer to join a specialist aerospace operations team at our Chalgrove site. This role is central to the inspection and testing of pyrotechnic components used in ejection seat systems that save lives worldwide.

The Role:

  • You'll carry out radiographic inspection (DR and CT) and leak testing on explosive components, ensuring assemblies meet strict quality and safety standards.
  • This is a shift-based role starting in January 2026, working 4 days on / 4 days off (07:00–16:30). Until then, you'll work regular weekday hours.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Radiographic inspection using digital X-ray and CT systems
  • Leak testing using helium mass spectrometry
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, route cards, and test specifications
  • Contributing to health and safety systems, risk assessments, and safe working procedures
  • Supporting continuous improvement and 5S processes
  • Working collaboratively with engineering, QA, and production teams

What We're Looking For:

  • ASNT Level 1 Radiographer certification
  • Experience in NDT, preferably within aerospace or explosives environments
  • Proficiency in digital radiography systems
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and inspection processes
  • Knowledge of safety standards, QAI, and ATPs in a manufacturing setting
  • A methodical, team-focused approach and problem-solving mindset
