Salary: £27,000 – £28,000 + up to £8,000 overtime

We’re hiring an Assembly Operative to join a leading aerospace manufacturer at our Denham site. This hands-on role is critical to the production and testing of precision components used in cutting-edge ejection seats that help save aircrew lives around the world.

The Role:

  • Working within the Fitting Shop, you’ll be responsible for assembling and inspecting mechanical components as part of the seat build process.
  • Duties include:
  • Assembling components from prepared kits to tight tolerances
  • Inspecting and testing parts using gauges and automated inspection tools
  • Reading engineering drawings to ensure accurate builds
  • Masking and preparing components for aluminium oxide blasting
  • Bonding and oven-curing parts using industrial adhesives
  • Conducting final quality checks before components move to the next stage

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in assembly and inspection of mechanical parts
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Understanding of health & safety procedures, QAI, and COSHH regulations
  • Familiarity with inspection tools and measuring equipment
  • Basic manufacturing or engineering background
  • SAP experience is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented mindset
