We are recruiting for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1 or B2) to join a leading aviation maintenance provider based at Stansted. This is a key role responsible for managing aircraft maintenance inputs while ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This position suits an experienced, hands-on engineer who can lead from the front and take ownership of projects in a fast-paced Part 145 environment.
The Role
- Manage day-to-day aircraft maintenance inputs and projects
- Certify maintenance in line with licence privileges
- Lead and coordinate a team of engineers across base, line, and AOG support
- Ensure all work is completed to strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Act as the main point of contact for customers and aircraft representatives
- Monitor project progress, reporting daily to senior management
- Coordinate with hangar teams, support services, and third-party providers
- Authorise repairs and high-value parts where required
- Drive continuous improvement across maintenance operations
What We’re Looking For
- Full unrestricted UK CAA B1 or B2 Licence (B2 must include electrical privileges)
- ‘A’ and ‘C’ approvals
- Recognised apprenticeship
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proven experience working within a Part 145 environment
