Maintenance Engineer

We are currently hiring a Maintenance Engineer for our client based in West London, a manufacturing company for the rail industry.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To provide service support to meet the Customers’ needs/requirements.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To carry out repairs as requested to machines and equipment
2. To modify items/systems on machines and equipment
3. To commission new and modified/repaired machines and equipment
4. To carry out work in a timely and professional manner
5. Will be required to work anywhere in the UK and abroad when necessary
6. To supply telephone assistance and site attendance to assist other departments outside of normal working hours as part of the On Call roster as required.

CANDIDATES MUST:

1. Have 3 years experience on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic machines and equipment
2. Possess a full clean manual driving licence (a company van will be provided)
3. Have previous experience or exposure to pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric/electronic systems.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND:
Degree in Engineering or completed a full and indentured engineering apprenticeship.

WHAT OUR CLIENT OFFERS:
Salary: £40,000 to £43,000 per year
Paid 4 weeks holiday in the 1st year, increasing in succeeding years
Allocated van and fuel card

SHIFT TIMINGS:
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am to 3:45 pm
Friday: 7:00 am to 11:00 am
Permanent, full-time position – 37 hours/week
Overtime is available but not guaranteed
3 months probationary period
