We’re seeking a Transport Controller to join our team based in Castle Vale, Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within a busy logistics operation, with clear scope to develop and progress as the business continues to grow.
Permanent position
Salary: £26,500 – £28,500 (depending on experience)
28 days’ holiday, including bank holidays
Office‑based role
Working hours: 1pm – 10pm
What you’ll be learning and supporting as a Transport Controller:
- Overseeing live fleet activity to ensure delivery times are achieved, drivers’ hours and breaks remain compliant, and relevant teams are kept up to date.
- Learning our internal TMS system with regular support and training.
- Conducting daily driver briefings and debriefings, using telematics data to monitor driving performance and highlight any training needs.
- Managing consignments throughout the day, ensuring statuses are accurately tracked and updated.
- Assisting the Customer Services team by responding to internal and external queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Delivering clear and detailed shift handovers to maintain seamless service.
