MBNL’s Legal Property Team provides commercially focused and efficient legal solutions together with risk management support across all areas of the business. The team is responsible for a range of activities including:

  • Delivering robust and legally sound site agreements while ensuring effective contract management;
  • Governance across all disciplines;
  • Dispute resolution and risk management;
  • Supporting the broader company on all aspects of property acquisition, disposal and estate management.

You’ll lead on complex property litigation and regulatory issues, supporting MBNL’s Legal Property team and wider business functions. This includes managing significant disputes in various courts and tribunals, advising on health and safety incidents and compliance (e.g. Building Safety Act, ICNIRP), and navigating planning and public law challenges.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as escalation point for high-value property litigation and site access disputes
  • Advise on regulatory matters including H&S, asbestos, fire safety, and telecoms compliance
  • Manage public law issues and planning enforcement, liaising with authorities
  • Deliver concise, risk-based legal advice to stakeholders
  • Develop legal workflows, training, and know-how resources
  • Oversee external legal suppliers, ensuring quality and value
  • Provide strategic support on governance, policy, and shareholder engagement

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
  • Experience in property law and litigation (Landlord & Tenant Act 1954)
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage high-pressure caseloads
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and collaborative skills
  • Eager to learn and lead in evolving legal areas

Nice to have:

  • Telecoms property law and Electronic Communications Code knowledge
  • In-house or portfolio litigation experience
  • Familiarity with H&S, building and fire safety legislation
  • Understanding of Ofcom, DSIT, and related regulatory bodies
