For our UK office based in Telford, we are looking for an experienced field service engineer. Moba is a world leader in innovative machines for grading, packing and processing eggs in the food industry based in the Netherlands. With more than 850 colleagues and a history going back over 75 years, we build the most high-quality technical systems, from design to production and from installation to service.
As an International Field Service Engineer, you are responsible for:
- Installing machines, maintaining existing machines, and solving malfunctions at customers.
- Reporting to our Service Manager in Telford.
Key responsibilities include:
- Average of 100 overnights per year away from home.
- Be prepared to attend service calls at short notice and work long days.
- During installation of new machinery, work 12 straight days, 10 - 12 hours per day.
- Willing to work weekends and nightshifts.
- Spend time at Moba UK (Telford) for training on procedures, paperwork, machine manuals, systems, and training.
- Attend various application training at Moba Netherlands.
- Willing to attend overseas installations.
- Out of hours call-out support (during training with experienced engineer and thereafter when qualified to attend solo).
- Upon successful completion of training, join our on-call activities covering 24/7 support to the UK (Around 1 week every 6 weeks).
Requirements:
- Electrical / mechanical background demonstrated verbally and through a formal qualification.
- Experience working within food processing / manufacturing / electrical / mechanical environment.
- Telephone 'helpdesk' support and advice to customers and colleagues.
- Able to write detailed service reports.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Aware of the need for quality and take this awareness into your work.
- Anticipate customer requirements and translate this into concrete actions, balancing the interests of the organisation and the customer.
