We're looking for a People Advisor to strengthen how we support our people and managers across the organisation. You'll work closely with managers to provide clear, practical advice on a wide range of people matters building confidence, capability and positive working practices that help colleagues thrive. You will guide managers through employee relations cases such as absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance, ensuring they handle situations fairly, consistently and in line with policy, employment legislation and best practice. You will take a proactive approach to colleague wellbeing, offering guidance that helps managers respond appropriately. You will also build manager capability by coaching and delivering training that supports inclusive, effective leadership. Using data and insight, you will identify trends, highlight risks and recommend improvements that enhance colleague experience and organisational performance. As part of a collaborative People Services team, you will help foster a positive, high‑performing culture that supports colleague wellbeing and great customer outcomes.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience managing employee relations cases from end to end
- Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and best practice
- Experience delivering training and supporting managers and colleagues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A keen eye for detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence using people data to identify trends and drive improvements
What you’ll need
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or proven HR generalist experience)
- At least two years’ experience in employee relations, including change and performance management
- Good MS Office skills
- Experience using HR systems (HRIS)
