Responsibilities
As a senior member of the Governance & Compliance team, you will lead the delivery of best‑practice governance processes, ensuring that Moat meets its Code of Governance and regulatory expectations. You will provide expert advice, drive continuous improvement, and help maintain a robust and transparent governance framework. This is a varied and influential role that requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders, including Board and Committee members.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of governance and regulatory frameworks within the social housing sector
- Significant experience in a governance, company secretarial, or corporate governance role
- Excellent drafting skills, including minutes, reports, and formal governance documentation
- Experience supporting Executive teams, Boards, and Committees
- Experience using Board portal software (e.g. Diligent or BoardEffect)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage complex information
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Experience in case management and cross‑departmental working
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
