We’re looking for a dedicated and organised Allocations (Lettings) Officer to join our team in delivering a smooth, efficient, and customer‑focused experience for people moving into and out of our homes. You’ll play a vital role in helping individuals and families access safe, suitable housing – setting the tone for a positive landlord‑tenant relationship.

In this role, you’ll manage the full lettings process, from tenancy terminations to sign‑ups, providing clear guidance and regular updates to customers throughout. You’ll ensure accurate record‑keeping and work closely with colleagues, local authorities, and external partners to meet performance targets and service standards. You’ll be responsible for letting both new build and relet homes efficiently, ensuring all regulatory and health & safety requirements are met.

Matching applicants to homes based on priority, suitability, and the likelihood of sustaining a successful tenancy will be key, as will your ability to support fair and equal access to housing by adapting your approach to meet individual needs.

Ideally, you’ll have experience in social housing lettings such as within a housing association, local authority, or charity. However, we’ll also consider candidates with general lettings experience, provided you have a strong understanding of the application and allocation process, key checks and compliance, the needs and challenges of social housing customers, and the minimum standards expected of landlords in this sector.
