About the Role
As a Purchasing Administrator, you will be the backbone of our purchasing department, responsible for managing supplier relationships, processing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate records. Your attention to detail and ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers will help us maintain cost-effectiveness and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtaining quotations and negotiating competitive prices with suppliers
- Sourcing materials, products, and services, and processing purchase orders
- Monitoring orders and coordinating deliveries with suppliers and warehouses
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure purchasing requirements are met efficiently
- Resolving supplier, delivery, and order-related issues in a timely manner
- Maintaining accurate purchasing records, spreadsheets, and reports using Excel
- Supporting stock control and ensuring the timely availability of materials
- Providing general support to other team members and assisting with additional tasks when required
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or administration preferred
- Good Excel and general computer skills
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment and managing multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively as part of a team
