MNK International, an established specialist Lloyd’s of London international (re)insurance intermediary headquartered in London, is expanding its operational offering through the recruitment of a Regulatory Policy & Compliance Manager. Outside the UK, MNK International currently operates through its international offices in Miami, Warsaw, Dubai (DIFC), Nairobi, Johannesburg, São Paulo, and Istanbul. The business will be launching two new offices in LATAM countries in Q2 2026 and has earmarked a pipeline of more than ten additional countries to support its continued global expansion. About the Role
This role ensures that MNK International meets evolving regulatory expectations by maintaining up-to-date policies, conducting high-quality regulatory analysis, and supporting governance processes. The position leads structured horizon scanning for regulatory developments and ensures internal policies remain aligned with FCA requirements and industry standards. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for regulatory interpretation and support the organisation’s regulatory engagement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Policy & Interpretation
- Monitor relevant FCA regulatory developments and conduct structured horizon scanning.
- Translate regulatory changes into actionable internal requirements and identify gaps in existing policies, frameworks, and processes.
- Produce clear interpretation statements and support policy updates.
- Maintain a comprehensive audit trail linking external regulatory requirements to internal documentation.
- Coordinate annual and ad hoc updates to Compliance policies.
- Manage contributor inputs, version control, documentation standards, and governance review cycles.
- Review and refine compliance policies to ensure clarity, coherence, completeness, and regulatory alignment.
- Serve as a key point of contact for regulatory policy interpretation across MNK.
- Act as coordinator for regulatory engagement, including oversight and completion of regulatory returns.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of FCA Handbook requirements relevant to the insurance broker model.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in regulatory policy, regulatory reporting, or compliance, ideally within an insurance broking environment.
- Experience drafting or contributing to compliance policies is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of the insurance broker model, wholesale insurance business, and emerging risks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate UK regulatory requirements into practical business guidance.
- Excellent internal and external stakeholder management capabilities.
