MNK International, a specialist Lloyd’s of London international (re)insurance intermediary headquartered in London, is enhancing its operational capabilities through the appointment of a Senior IBA / Credit Control Technician. The company operates across multiple international hubs, including Miami, Warsaw, Dubai (DIFC), Nairobi, Johannesburg, São Paulo, and Istanbul, with two additional LATAM offices scheduled to launch in Q2 2026. Role Overview

The Senior IBA / Credit Control Technician will be responsible for the effective management of insurer and client accounts, ensuring the timely collection, allocation, and settlement of funds in accordance with Lloyd’s and FCA regulatory requirements. The role is integral to cash flow management, aged debt reduction, and the maintenance of robust financial controls. Operating from MNK International’s London office, the successful candidate will work closely with broking, finance, and operations teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. This position reports directly to the IBA Director.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the specialty wholesale (re)insurance sector
  • At least 2 years in a senior IBA leadership position within an FCA‑regulated London Market intermediary
  • Demonstrable experience in developing or scaling broking operational models
  • Strong understanding of Lloyd’s processes, insurer settlements, and bureau/non‑bureau business
  • In‑depth knowledge of FCA CASS 5 requirements
  • Professional qualifications such as ACII are highly desirable

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of day‑to‑day IBA activities, including cash allocation, reconciliations, bordereaux, and settlements
  • Monitoring and resolution of unallocated cash and aged balances
  • Preparation and review of IBA reconciliations in line with CASS 5 requirements
  • Accurate maintenance of risk and financial data within broking systems
  • Submission and management of documentation via Xchanging (IMR)
  • Production of debt reports and escalation of overdue accounts where appropriate
  • Support for internal and external audits
  • Preparation of MI reports relating to cash flow, aged debt, and KPIs
  • Oversight and quality review of outsourced IBA support
  • Acting as deputy to the IBA Director when required
