The Role
MNK Group is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Group Management Accountant to play a key role in our international finance team. This role is central to delivering high‑quality management information and regulatory reporting for MNK International Limited, a leading London Market insurance intermediary with subsidiaries across EMEA, South Africa, North America, and South America. You’ll work closely with the Finance Director and lead the management accounting process across our international footprint, supported by a Finance Assistant.
As Group Management Accountant, you will oversee the production of accurate, timely, and insightful financial information that supports strategic decision‑making across the business. You will also ensure compliance with key regulatory reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight and coordination of management accounts across MNK International Limited and its global subsidiaries
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including salary journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Preparation of quarterly regulatory returns (RMAR and FIN 073)
- Control of Accounts Payable and expenses through management of the Finance Assistant
- Monitoring business performance through KPIs
Core Duties
- Coordinate month‑end accounting across multiple group entities
- Prepare monthly income postings from Client Money Calculations and reconcile to broking systems
- Prepare and post payroll journals
- Prepare and post monthly accruals and prepayments
- Produce and present monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Present management information and KPIs to the Finance Director
- Review and approve office bank accounts and reconciliations
- Process journals into the accounting system
- Act as a liaison between finance and department heads to ensure accurate financial information
- Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
- Undertake additional duties as requested by the Finance Director
About You
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Experience with SAP and/or Xero accounting systems is important, alongside strong Microsoft Office skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP. A formal accounting qualification such as AAT, ACCA or CIMA is desirable, although part-qualified candidates or those qualified by experience will also be considered. Insurance industry experience would be advantageous.
