The Role

The CNC Setter vacancy is a hands‑on CNC role for an experienced machinist who enjoys technical, low‑volume/high‑value work.

  • Set and operate CNC machines (Turning) including Mazak and Doosan Machines.
  • Work from engineering drawings to tight tolerances.
  • Inspect your own work using precision measuring equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and quality standards.

What We're Looking For As a CNC Setter

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist/Setter within a precision manufacturing business.
  • Experience with Fanuc/Mazatrol controls.
  • Experience machining large components (MNB Precision have anything up to 8 metres in length x 800mm diameter).
  • Experience working with exotic materials including Inconel or Duplex.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings as well as GD&T symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality.
  • A reliable, team‑focused approach is required for the CNC Machinist role.
