Established over 40 years ago, MNB Precision provides manufacturing and precision engineering services to the world's leading companies across the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Rail and other manufacturing industries.

We are currently looking for a Production Manager to join the business on a night shift.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all manufacturing and production processes on the night shift.
  • Ensure all production schedules are carried out in line with Production Directors instructions and targets.
  • Ensure the quality of all work produced meets the company quality standards.
  • Monitor on and off times of WO's on all machines that the supervisors are responsible for at least twice a day and report any production issues to Production Director.
  • Assist and resolve technical problems as and when they arise and put an action plan to prevent future occurrence (IRN & OEE).
  • Manage the staff you are responsible for, setting targets and carrying out regular performance appraisals.
  • Carry out company disciplinary procedures where necessary.
  • Accurately contribute when required to the estimation process.
  • Ensure maintenance schedules are adhered to and report any issues to maintenance manager.
  • Be responsible for the security and organisation of the company CNC programmes through the Supervisors who are responsible for the specific areas.
  • Constantly work towards improving efficiency throughout the company production areas (OEE).
  • Train the section improvers when required and suggest new training/new technology programmes as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience within a precision manufacturing environment, ideally within Oil & Gas, Aerospace or Defence.
  • Proven experience managing manufacturing and production processes within a machine shop environment.
  • Previous experience managing and motivating teams as well as responsibility with appraisals and disciplinary processes.
  • Motivated and driven to lead from the front at all times.
  • Great communication skills.
