MNB Precision is a Coventry based precision engineering business with over 40 years of experience, supplying high-integrity components into demanding sectors including Oil & Gas, Defence, Power Generation, Rail and Heavy Industry. We are now seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inspection Manager to lead our inspection within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the Role
As Inspection Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all inspection processes, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, industry standards and internal inspection procedures. You will lead the inspection team, drive continuous improvement and play a key role in maintaining the high standards our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities for the Inspection Manager role:
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day inspection activities
- Lead and develop the inspection team
- Ensure compliance with ISO and customer quality requirements
- Review engineering drawings, specifications and inspection reports
- Oversee first-off, in-process and final inspections
- Manage calibration systems and inspection equipment
- Support customer and supplier quality investigations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality processes
- Liaise with production, engineering and customers to resolve quality issues
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and records
Requirements for the Inspection Manager role:
- Previous experience in an Inspection Manager or Senior Quality role within precision engineering/manufacturing
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience with CMM programming and inspection equipment
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
