Business Development Specialist (CRO Environment) – Remote (UK), Belfast

We are looking for a full-time Business Development Specialist, remotely based within the UK, to join our team. Your responsibilities will include understanding organizational objectives, researching potential leads, developing outreach strategies, and representing MMS professionally to foster new business opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Understand the company\’s commercial objectives and align your activities accordingly.
- Research and identify potential leads and client needs.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to develop outreach messaging.
- Represent MMS as a trusted partner and develop a network of contacts.
- Manage records related to contacts, leads, meetings, and follow-up tasks.
- Generate leads across MMS service areas and identify new business opportunities.
- Develop and present strategies for business development under guidance.
- Maintain professional conduct and uphold company values.
- Provide excellent customer service and teamwork.
- Support departmental and organizational improvement efforts.
- Comply with policies, procedures, and training requirements.
Requirements:
- College degree in Business, Communications, Scientific, or related field.
- 1-2 years’ experience in lead generation, business development, or similar roles.
- Knowledge of scientific principles, clinical trials, or pharma industry stakeholders is a plus.
- Understanding of CRO environment, data, and regulatory services preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11, FDA, GCP, and MS Office applications.
- Experience with CRM platforms like Dynamics 365, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other sales tools is advantageous.
