MMP Consultancy are seeking a Repairs Surveyor for an interim contract within a Housing Association based in Hertfordshire, paying £40 per hour.
Rate: £40 per hour (Inside IR35)
Hours: 37.5 hours
Hybrid: 3–4 Inspection Days, 1–2 Office or Home Office: Hertfordshire
Client: Housing Association
Responsibilities:
- Conduct reactive inspections for damp and mould issues across a range of properties within Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Bedfordshire.
- Coordinate and carry out on-site surveys, including initial assessments, damp treatments, and first-fix repairs.
- Manage and raise work orders using the QL Housing Management system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
- Collaborate with internal teams (call centre, damp mould team, and operations) to schedule inspections efficiently.
- Undertake emergency and specialist inspections as needed, with the autonomy to block out admin time for comprehensive reports.
- Assist in managing subcontractor specialist works and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in damp, mould, and repairs surveying within social housing or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of reactive repair processes and associated health and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with residents, operatives, and internal teams effectively.
- Ability to raise and manage work orders accurately in housing management systems.
- Competent in inspecting and documenting damp and mould issues, with a focus on timely resolutions.
- Familiarity with subcontractor management and health and safety standards in property maintenance.
- Knowledge of additional property management systems or reporting tools.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to travel within Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Bedfordshire, with travel time approximately 45 minutes within Hertfordshire.
- Availability for a 37.5-hour work week, with the flexibility to schedule inspections across 3–4 days.
- Valid driving license essential for efficient site visits.
