Role Purpose
Deliver electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and remedial works across Housing Association properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical repairs, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Close down jobs using a mobile device.
- Manage van stock, tools, and materials.
- Participate in the call‑out rota (1 in 8 weeks; £150 standby + time and a half).
- Work safely in both occupied and unoccupied homes.

Qualifications
- ECS Gold Card (NVQ Level 3 + BS7671).
- Recognised UK electrical qualifications (C&G 2360/2330/2391, NVQ Level 3, AM3/AM2).
- Approved non‑UK route (Ecctis + Experienced Worker Assessment + BS7671 + AM2E/AM2ED).
Experience
- Domestic electrical work including rewires, upgrades, and heating system wiring.
- Comfortable working in varied property conditions.
Skills
- Knowledge of BS5839‑6 (fire detection) & BS5266 (emergency lighting).
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and time‑management skills.
- Confident using mobile devices for job management.
Personal Attributes
- Full UK driving licence.
- Able to work in confined spaces such as lofts.
