Multi Trade Operative – Permanent Role

Location: Uttlesford, Essex
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM

Role Overview

We\’re seeking a skilled Multi Trade Operative to join a reputable contractor in Uttlesford, Essex. This permanent role focuses on reactive repairs within occupied social housing properties. The successful candidate must be able to carry out plastering, decorating, plumbing, and carpentry to a high standard, ensuring quality workmanship across all trades.

Key Responsibilities

Complete multi-trade repairs including plastering, decoration, plumbing, and carpentry.
Work on reactive maintenance and repairs in occupied homes.
Use your own basic hand and power tools.
Optionally participate in out-of-hours work.

Requirements

Proven experience in multi-trade work within social housing.
Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality finishes across all trades.
Own a smartphone and basic tools.

A drug and alcohol test will be carried out on the day of induction if successful
