MMP Consultancy is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for a permanent opportunity based across the North West. This role will support the delivery of a social housing fund wave 3 Retrofit programme in the Oldham area, and offers hybrid working between site, home and a regional office, making it an excellent opportunity for candidates based in Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire or North Wales. The rate of pay is £39ph CIS over a 37.5 hour working week. Working within a planned works and retrofit environment, you'll be responsible for the commercial management of projects on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard. You'll work closely with operational and commercial teams, managing subcontractors, monitoring project costs and maintaining strong relationships with clients and residents. Responsibilities: Manage the commercial delivery of planned works and retrofit projects. Monitor project costs and ensure effective cost control throughout delivery. Produce and submit monthly cost value reconciliations (CVRs) and progress reports. Manage subcontractor procurement, performance and commercial activity. Prepare external valuations and cashflow forecasts. Work closely with Commercial Managers on budgets, profit plans and final accounts. Ensure projects are delivered in line with health and safety requirements and company procedures. Attend client progress meetings and provide project updates. Build strong working relationships with clients, residents, subcontractors and internal teams. Support the successful delivery of SHF-funded retrofit programmes. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and high levels of customer satisfaction. Ensure works are completed to agreed quality, cost and programme targets. Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification. Experience working within social housing, housing association or planned works environments. Experience with retrofit, decarbonisation or SHF-funded schemes is highly desirable. Strong commercial awareness with experience in cost control, valuations and cashflow management. Experience managing subcontractors and on-site project delivery. Ability to prepare CVRs, commercial reports and final accounts. Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes. Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant IT systems. Ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. Full UK driving licence. Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check
