We are seeking an experienced Building Safety Lead to take ownership of a critical safety function within a complex, high-risk environment. This is a senior interim role requiring deep expertise in building safety, regulatory compliance, and housing legislation, particularly in line with the Building Safety Act 2022. You will lead the building safety function, ensuring immediate stability, regulatory readiness, and operational assurance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of building safety across the portfolio
- Ensure robust controls and mitigation of life safety risks
- Oversee compliance and assurance frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards
- Conduct and manage block inspections and safety reviews
- Lead the development and maintenance of Building Safety Cases
- Ensure full implementation and management of the Golden Thread of information
- Manage and respond to Building Safety Regulator (BSR) notices
- Drive regulatory readiness across all assets and operations
- Provide cross-departmental data assurance, supporting both operational and strategic decision-making
- Lead and support a specialist building safety team, ensuring high performance and accountability
