Project Manager - Capital Delivery Location: Harlow, Essex Contract: Temporary, Full-Time - 12 Months Rate: £450 per day Umbrella Working Pattern: Hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days per week on site MMP Consultancy is currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager - Capital Delivery to join a busy social housing environment on an initial 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to support a significant capital investment programme, delivering large-scale refurbishment works across occupied residential properties. The Role As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of capital works programmes, predominantly focused on building envelope works to low-rise residential blocks. The projects have already been tendered and packaged, with works due to commence on site in the new year. You will work alongside an established commercial team who will provide dedicated commercial support throughout the programme. You will be responsible for overseeing delivery, monitoring contractors, managing key stakeholders and ensuring projects are delivered safely, effectively and to the required quality standards. Key Requirements To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have: Strong experience as a Construction Project Manager delivering capital or refurbishment programmes. Previous experience delivering works to occupied residential properties within social housing. Experience working within a local authority, housing association or wider public-sector environment. Strong knowledge and practical experience of JCT contracts. Good technical knowledge of construction and project management. Experience managing contractors and overseeing projects through the delivery stage. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with residents, contractors, consultants and internal teams. A strong understanding of the challenges associated with delivering major works within occupied homes.
