MMP are currently recruiting for Gas Service Engineers to join a property and facilities group based in East London, on a 3-6-month contract basis. You will be required to deliver high-quality installation, maintenance, and repair work across all existing and new projects, including new construction. Pay Rate: £25.46ph (CIS)Hours: Mon to Fri (40 hours per week)Requirements: Own van Own tools Basic DBS CheckDuties: Install new heating systems per manufacturer's instructions and industry standards. Perform general heating engineering and plumbing duties, including reactive repairs and servicing boilers, fires, and appliances. Adhere to manufacturer instructions for repairs and installations. Issue gas safety notices and certificates. Assess and prepare sites before starting work. Maintain accurate records of assessments and actions. Conduct routine inspections to prevent issues. Respond promptly to emergency calls, minimising disruption. Ensure client satisfaction through clear communication and professionalism. Maintain accurate records of all work, including before and after photos. Leverage expertise in related trades and collaborate with other teams. Use IT equipment (e.g., PDAs) for job monitoring and work allocation. Ensure compliance with regulations and health and safety standards. Collaborate with maintenance team members, sharing knowledge and assisting with tasks. Protect work areas with coverings and move furniture to minimise damage. Maintain regular contact with Technical Supervisors and report issues promptly.Qualifications & Experience: CCN1, CEN/WAT, CPA1, CKR1, HTR1. CMMDA1, MET1, PART P (desirable) Gas Safe registered. Excellent understanding of Health and Safety regulations and procedures. Proven ability to deliver high quality construction projects and efficient output to meet client expectations. Able to be flexible in approach to work and working hours including attending out of hours call out work on a rotational basis. Excellent communications skills, ability to build positive working relationships with a range of clients, contractors and employees. Capability of taking initiative and working independently. Personal resilience and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines
