MMP Consultancy are currently seeking a Disrepair Surveyor for a South London public sector organisation, paying £400 per day (Inside IR35). \\n\\nAbout the role\\n\\nTitle: Disrepair Surveyor\\n Salary: £400 per day (Inside IR35)\\n Location: South London\\n Contract: Rolling Contract (6-12 Months – 3 Months rolling – One week notice)\\n Benefit: Approved business-related expenses\\n\\nWorking between office, site and home.\\n\\n* Management of Disrepair cases from inception to completion, creating detailed reports which are usable in court if required.\\n * Undertake expert witness reports / scott schedules as required.\\n * Managing a high volume of work across a designated geographical patch.\\n * Take full control of the surveying duties, ensuring the completion of works.\\n * Autonomy on decisions which are required to ensure quality work.\\n * Manage tenant engagement and ensure high-calibre customer service along with the Disrepair Case Officer.\\n * Receives support from Solicitors within the Legal Team with the strategy on how to approach certain cases if court orders are involved.\\n * Deliver a high-quality customer-focused repairs and maintenance service to act as essential technical support to the Repairs and Operations\\n * Pre and post-condition inspections of works, with a focus on quality and cost, including but not limited to checks on asbestos management, CDM regulations and void specification brief(s).\\n * Undertake and monitor proactively the client's responsibilities for all contracts within the posts remit.\\n * Provide specialist and professional reports, write specifications, manage disrepair cases, and insurance cases, and undertake estate inspections and quality assurance inspections.\\n * Overseer the delegated Revenue and Capital budgets for the Repair and Maintenance and one-off projects. To support the Repairs & Operations Service and across Property Management to reduce compensation costs associated with legal disrepair\\n\\nEssential:\\n * MRICS, MCIOB or Expert Witness qualified.\\n * Extensive experience in delivering complex/disrepair service for social housing.\\n * Understanding of disrepair legislation, Including a sound knowledge of:\\n o The Landlord and Tenant Act 1985\\n o Defective Premises Act 1972\\n * Detailed Knowledge and understanding of pre and post-inspection processes, building pathology and repairs techniques.\\n * Detailed Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities in relation to construction and Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations
