About the Role: Are you passionate about ensuring homes are safe, healthy, and comfortable? We are seeking an experienced and proactive Damp and Mould Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying, assessing, and managing damp and mould issues across a variety of properties, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify damp and mould issues, including causes and areas affected. * Provide accurate and detailed reports, including recommendations for remedial works and preventative measures. * Collaborate with contractors, maintenance teams, and stakeholders to ensure works are carried out effectively and to a high standard. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and relevant legislation. * Engage with tenants and residents to offer advice and guidance on damp and mould prevention. * Monitor progress on remedial works, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. * Support the organisation’s wider commitment to improving housing conditions and resident satisfaction. About You: We are looking for a professional with a strong understanding of building structures, damp diagnosis, and remedial solutions. You will have excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach to ensure residents feel supported throughout the process. Essential Requirements: * Experience in diagnosing and managing damp and mould issues within residential properties. * A recognised qualification in surveying, building studies, or a related field (e.g., HNC/HND, RICS, CIOB, or equivalent). * Strong knowledge of building pathology and construction methods. * Familiarity with relevant legislation, including housing health and safety standards. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with tenants, contractors, and colleagues. * A valid driving licence and willingness to travel between properties as required. Desirable Skills: * Experience working within a social housing or local authority environment. * Knowledge of energy efficiency measures and their role in damp prevention
