MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Procurement Officer in Essex. This will be on a temporary contract.
Pay Rate: £400 Per Day
Responsibilities:
- Support compliant procurement activities across a range of categories, ensuring best value and adherence to regulations
- Support major strategic projects, providing commercial insight and procurement guidance from concept to delivery
- Support the Development of tender documentation, evaluate submissions, and contribute to award recommendations
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand needs and enable effective sourcing
- Support the management of contracts proactively, monitoring performance, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Contribute to procurement transformation, helping modernise processes, templates, and ways of working
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experienced and qualified procurement professional who has CIPS and TPP qualifications
- Previous experience of working within the public sector, ideally in local government
- A knowledge of the construction industry would be highly advantageous
- This role requires a 'hands on' operational approach to the role rather than a strategic lead
- Must be able to travel to the site on a regular basis and be available to start on short notice
