A skilled Carpenter is required to carry out emergency repairs across social housing properties in Harlow. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing UPVC windows, doors, and locks, ensuring homes remain safe, secure, and compliant. Key Responsibilities
  • Complete repairs, maintenance, and replacements on UPVC windows, doors, hinges, handles, and locking mechanisms.
  • Attend emergency repair call-outs within social housing properties.
  • Diagnose issues quickly and deliver effective, safe solutions.
  • Ensure all work meets required standards and complies with health and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate job records and report material usage.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants and represent the contractor professionally.
  • Work independently across multiple properties throughout the day.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Carpenter, ideally with strong UPVC repair and maintenance knowledge.
  • Competent with UPVC frames, door sets, locking systems, and hardware.
  • Must supply own hand and power tools.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Basic DBS (or willingness to obtain).
  • Asbestos Awareness certification.
  • Experience within social housing is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and manage emergency workloads.
