We’re partnering with a forward-thinking organisation to appoint an Interim Building & Fire Safety Manager. This is a key role responsible for ensuring full compliance across a portfolio of buildings, with a strong focus on fire and building safety regulations and high-risk residential assets.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of building and fire safety compliance, leading on strategy, systems, and delivery to ensure all statutory obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all current building and fire safety legislation
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and safety management systems
  • Lead on Building Safety Case Reports for high-risk buildings
  • Oversee Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) and track actions through to completion
  • Provide expert guidance to Accountable Persons and senior stakeholders
  • Monitor performance through KPIs and reporting frameworks
  • Support resident engagement and manage safety-related complaints
  • Maintain accurate and auditable building safety records

About You

  • Degree in Fire Engineering, Building Surveying, Construction or similar
  • Level 4 qualification in Fire Safety
  • Member of a recognised professional body (IFE, IFSM, RICS, IOSH)
  • Strong experience in building & fire safety compliance
  • Proven track record working with high-risk residential buildings
  • Confident managing FRAs, contractors and compliance programmes
