Acting as the technical point of contact for complex repair issues, MMP Consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor on behalf of a Housing Association with properties across the Milton Keynes & the surrounding area. The successful candidates will take control of complex repairs, damp & mould cases, and contractor performance across a live housing stock. These are permanent roles to start as soon as possible. There will be a mix of onsite, office work and working from home.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out property surveys and inspections across occupied homes
- Diagnosing complex building defects, including damp, mould and condensation
- Specifying remedial works and overseeing delivery through subcontractors
- Managing quality, cost, safety and timescales of repairs
- Ensuring works meet housing standards, legislation and customer KPIs
- Acting as the technical point of contact for complex repair issues
Qualifications
- Proven experience surveying residential properties (social housing ideal)
- Strong technical knowledge of building defects and repair solutions
- Experience managing contractors and holding them to account
- Confident dealing with residents and stakeholders
- Knowledge of HHSRS and responsive repairs
- Full UK driving licence
- HNC / Level 4 in Surveying, Construction or Built Environment (or equivalent experience)
- RICS / CIOB membership desirable, not essential
