MMP Consultancy is recruiting a
Senior Damp, Mould & Disrepair Surveyor on behalf of a Local Authority.
This role will lead the delivery of damp, mould and disrepair services, ensuring cases are managed in line with Awaab's Law, HHSRS requirements and housing legislation.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a team of Damp & Mould and Disrepair Surveyors.
- Lead on complex damp, mould and disrepair cases.
- Carry out inspections, diagnose defects and specify remedial works.
- Ensure compliance with Awaab's Law, HHSRS and Council policies.
- Manage cases through to completion, working with contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor contractor performance and quality assure completed works.
- Produce technical reports, schedules of work and performance updates.
- Provide expert advice to housing, legal and asset management teams.
Essential Experience
- Strong knowledge of damp, mould, condensation, water ingress, ventilation and housing disrepair.
- Experience diagnosing building defects within social housing or local authority housing.
- Good understanding of Awaab's Law, HHSRS, Decent Homes Standard and housing legislation.
- Previous experience managing or supervising surveyors.
- Experience preparing survey reports, specifications and schedules of work.
- Proven ability to manage contractors and remedial works programmes.
