Excellent Pay Overtime Available Career Stability

We're expanding our workshop operations and are looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join our busy Amesbury Depot. This is a full-time, permanent position offering strong earning potential, varied work, and long-term job security within a growing operation.

Pay & Earning Potential

  • £20.03 per hour
  • Overtime after 47.5 hours: £25.04 per hour
  • Saturday rate: £25.04 per hour
  • Sunday rate: £30.05 per hour
  • Regular overtime available to boost earnings

Shift Pattern

  • Any 5 days out of 7
  • Flexible working across weekdays and weekends

Your Role

  • You'll play a key role in keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and on the road:
  • Service, inspect, and maintain HGVs to legal and company standards
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and manage transport to test centres
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
  • Repair minor accident damage
  • Accurately record defects and completed works
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues
  • Deliver high standards of customer service
  • Work on vehicles, trailers, and ancillary equipment

What We're Looking For

  • Proven commercial HGV experience (essential)
  • Relevant qualifications: City & Guilds (Parts 1, 2 & 3), BTEC, IMI, or equivalent industry experience
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage workloads effectively
  • Positive, motivated, and professional approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • Full driving licence with no more than 6 minor points (No CD, DD, DR, or IN endorsements)
