About the team
Mercer Investment Solutions is Mercer's investment management arm which manages in excess of US$700bn globally.
The European business was established in 2006 and currently manages assets in excess of €250bn.
The business has experienced significant growth over the last number of years and with a strong pipeline of activity, this looks set to continue for the foreseeable future.
This growth has involved expansion into client segments including insurance and wealth management as well as the traditional pensions market.
As such, there is now an opportunity to join the European Investment team to support the growth efforts in Europe.
What can you expect
- Working with sales and country leaders to identify opportunities and relevant targets across Private Banks, Wealth Managers, Multi Family Offices and other Financial Intermediaries.
- Lead the development and growth of relationships across public and private markets.
- Develop strategic partnerships with a view to expanding existing distribution relationships.
- Work closely with our investment and proposition teams to ensure that the offering for Wealth Management is competitive and compelling.
We will rely on you to
- Build relationships, generate leads and support pipeline management across Europe with Wealth Managers and other Financial Intermediaries.
- Lead the commercial sale by working with internal resources and stakeholders to maximize opportunities across public and private markets.
- Expand relationships with existing clients and strategic partners.
- Raise awareness and generate opportunities for Mercer's investment capabilities within Wealth Management / Financial intermediaries’ space through participating at external events.
- Collaborate effectively across the Marsh Mc Lennan organisation, representing the investments business in discussion with colleagues across Marsh Risk and Oliver Wyman.
- Any other ad-hoc projects/duties and business development focused activity as required.
What you need to have
- Experience of leading relationships and ideally sales with Private Banks / WMs.
- Thorough understanding of the institutional investment landscape and Investment solutions.
- Thorough understanding of both public and private markets.
- Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build strong collaborative working relationships across multiple jurisdictions and influence (internally and externally).
- Highly disciplined, proactive, with a results driven focus.
- Degree educated and further industry qualifications (IMC, CFA, etc.) would be advantageous.
