THE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
These positions offer excellent career and growth opportunities for talented, highly motivated professionals with relevant prior experience in quantitatively intense areas, particularly though not exclusively within financial services. Flexible working and market‑leading work‑life balance will be a priority. There will be opportunities to travel with a mix of around 50% of time spent on client site vs off site, though individual needs will be considered when staffing off‑site vs on‑site roles. - Initial responsibilities will vary between the respective roles:
- The role will focus on managing projects – Associate Team Leaders and Team Leaders would typically work on one project at a time. A Director would typically work on two smaller assignments or one large, more complex one.
- Project work typically involves developing hypotheses; managing data collection, model creation and analyses; conducting primary and secondary research; creatively tackling information limitations; and surfacing insights, overseeing the work of analysts.
- Using Partners and the internal network effectively to provide technical and senior‑level steer to projects.
- Working in a team together with clients to complete project deliverables to high standard.
- Maintaining energy and positive work‑life balance of team.
- Coaching Oliver Wyman and client team members to develop their skills.
YOUR ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline. Ideally Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science or Engineering.
- Strong analysis, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience in using advanced analytics and data manipulation software – R, Python, SAS, SQL, or SPSS.
- Work effectively and collaboratively in a team.
- Be independent and work under limited supervision respecting defined timelines.
- Present effectively results, potential issues and implications.
- Excellent command of English language (verbal and written).
- Ability to manage a demanding work volume and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to maintain and respect confidentiality.
- Willingness to travel regularly.
