We are looking for a meticulous and highly organized Payroll Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing employee payroll while ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of payroll processes (although not essential), exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Process and administer payroll for MMC’s Contracting Solutions and Bureau clients, ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant client, employee, and contractor records in line with statutory regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, RTI submissions, auto-enrolment pensions, and other relevant requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with MMC’s clients.
  • Distribute payslips and payroll documents securely via email and online portals.
  • Keep records up to date with personal and contract details.
  • Ensure software is kept up to date in line with company processes.
  • Handle payroll queries professionally and provide clear explanations of processes where necessary.
  • Carry out general administration in line with company processes.

Experience

  • Familiarity with payroll regulations and compliance requirements is beneficial but not essential as training will be given.
  • A strong background in an administrative arena would be beneficial.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain payroll processes clearly.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
