M&M Supply is recruiting a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant for a specialist education provision in Bristol. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting a pupil with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), Autism (ASC), ADHD and additional learning needs.

About the 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant RoleAs a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in this specialist setting, you will:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support tailored to a pupil's EHCP
- Support students with SEMH, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD and attachment needs
- Implement positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
- Promote emotional regulation, resilience and independence
- Support access to the curriculum in a structured, therapeutic environment
- Work closely with teachers, SENDCo and pastoral teams
- Build strong, consistent relationships to support long-term progress
This role requires patience, consistency and a calm, nurturing approach.
Ideal Candidate ProfileWe welcome applications from candidates with experience in:
- SEN Teaching Assistant roles
- SEMH Support / Behaviour Support Assistant roles
- Autism Support Worker positions
- Youth work or residential care
- Trauma-informed education settings
You should:
- Be resilient, empathetic and confident managing behaviour
- Have strong communication skills
- Be committed to inclusion and supporting vulnerable learners
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
