We are recruiting for an experienced Senior HR Adviser to join a busy, multi-site organisation supporting leaders across multiple academies and central teams. This is a strategic and operational HR Business Partner role with a strong focus on employee relations, employment law, case management, and stakeholder coaching. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload while providing high-quality, legally compliant HR advice to senior leaders and managers.
Key Responsibilities – Senior HR Adviser
- Manage complex employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, performance management, investigations and capability.
- Provide expert advice on UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Support organisational change, restructures and consultation processes.
- Coach and upskill managers in people management and HR policy.
- Build strong working relationships with trade unions and key stakeholders.
- Support HR projects, policy development and continuous improvement.
- Work across multiple sites (travel required).
Essential Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as a Senior HR Adviser, HR Business Partner, HR Manager or Employee Relations Manager.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation.
- Experience managing high-volume, complex ER caseloads.
- Confidence advising senior leaders and Headteachers.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification (or working towards).
- Full UK driving licence.
Experience within education, public sector, multi-academy trusts, or multi-site organisations is desirable.
