At MM Freight, we provide fast, efficient and reliable transport of chilled, frozen and ambient goods across the UK, ROI and Europe. We are currently recruiting a full-time Warehouse Operative for our Lurgan depot to assist with our busy cross-docking facility. This position will be Monday - Friday with 1 in 3 weekends (with weekdays off in lieu). Shifts start at 12pm with flexible finish times, typically between 9pm and 1am.
Key Responsibilities
- Unloading of supplier vehicles and loading of delivery vehicles, including chilled and frozen products
- Undertaking handling tasks in the warehouse, including across cross-docking stores, in a safe and professional manner
- Completing daily checks on handling equipment and reporting defects quickly for repair
- Carrying out temperature monitoring and reporting discrepancies
- Checking for and reporting discrepancies in stock intake
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and compliance with Health and Safety procedures and requirements
- Maintain clear and regular communication with team members, drivers and the transport office in order to plan and complete tasks efficiently and correctly

Essential criteria:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate and work as a team
- Reliable, with good time-keeping
- Able to work on own initiative
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work weekends and late nights when required
- Have the right to work in the UK
Desirable criteria:
- Forklift and stand-on pallet truck certification
- Able to take sole charge when required
- 6 months experience in a warehousing/fulfilment role
