MM Freight are proud to introduce their own HGV Class 1 Training Programme in cooperation with Martys School of Motoring. The programme includes:

  • Full sponsorship for the tests and training to acquire an HGV Class 1 licence
  • A supported shadowing period with an established MM Freight driver, to build your confidence and give you the necessary skills before hitting the road solo
  • A guaranteed full-time training contract with MM Freight, with a raise to standard rates after probation
  • The opportunity to drive routes across Ireland, as well as GB (trip work) if desired

As a HGV Class 1 driver, you will:

  • Work with the planning team to complete delivery to our customers across Ireland
  • Adhere to road traffic law and Drivers Hours Regulations at all times
  • Complete daily walkaround checks to assist with vehicle maintenance and ensure roadworthiness, and record results
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is correct, present and delivered to customers and/or the office
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service during deliveries
  • Adhere to company health and safety, vehicle security and breakdown procedures
  • Report all changes to your licence and respond to all communications from the compliance team
  • Ensure vehicles are clean and secure at the end of each shift

Successful applicants will:

  • Have acquired their medical clearance and theory tests
  • Have good communication and customer care
  • Be willing to work flexible hours including weekends
