At MM Freight, we provide fast, efficient and reliable transport of chilled, frozen and ambient goods across the UK, ROI and Europe. Due to company growth and expansion of our warehousing facilities, we are currently recruiting Warehouse and Yard Operatives for our Lurgan depot to assist with our busy cross-docking facility.
We have the following positions available:
- Full-time warehouse operatives (1 in 3 weekends with days off in lieu)
- Part-time warehouse operative (weekend only)
- Full-time yard operative (1 in 3 weekends with days off in lieu)
Shifts are typically 12:00 - 21:00, however finish times will depend on customer requirements so some flexibility is required (no later than 1am at the busiest times). Please note that yard operatives must be 18 and in possession of a valid drivers licence.
Key Responsibilities
- Unloading of supplier vehicles and loading of delivery vehicles, including chilled and frozen products
- Undertaking handling tasks in the warehouse, including across cross-docking stores, in a safe and professional manner
- Completing daily checks on handling equipment and reporting defects quickly for repair
- Carrying out temperature monitoring and reporting discrepancies
- Checking for and reporting discrepancies in stock intake
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and compliance with Health and Safety procedures and requirements
- Maintain clear and regular communication with team members, drivers and the transport office in order to plan and complete tasks efficiently and correctly
- Yard operatives will also be required to operate a shunter to move and organise trailers; monitor trailer temperatures; and monitor trailer diesel levels. Washing of trailer interiors may be required.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate and work as a team
- Reliable, with good time-keeping
- Able to work on own initiative
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work weekends and late nights when required
- Have the right to work in the UK
Desirable criteria:
- Forklift and stand-on pallet truck certification
- Able to take sole charge when required
- 6 months experience in a warehousing/fulfilment role
Desirable criteria may be applied at the shortlisting stage in the case of a large number of applicants.
