MM Freight are proud to introduce their own HGV Class 1 Training Programme in cooperation with Martys School of Motoring. The programme includes:
- Full sponsorship for the tests and training to acquire an HGV Class 1 licence
- A supported shadowing period with an established MM Freight driver, to build your confidence and give you the necessary skills before hitting the road solo
- A guaranteed full-time training contract with MM Freight, with a raise to standard rates after probation
- The opportunity to drive routes across Ireland, as well as GB (trip work) if desired
As a HGV Class 1 driver, you will:
- Work with the planning team to complete delivery to our customers across Ireland
- Adhere to road traffic law and Drivers Hours Regulations at all times
- Complete daily walkaround checks to assist with vehicle maintenance and ensure roadworthiness, and record results
- Ensure all relevant documentation is correct, present and delivered to customers and/or the office
- Maintain a high standard of customer service during deliveries
- Adhere to company health and safety, vehicle security and breakdown procedures
- Report all changes to your licence and respond to all communications from the compliance team
- Ensure vehicles are clean and secure at the end of each shift
Successful applicants will:
- Have acquired their medical clearance and theory tests
- Have good communication and customer care
- Be willing to work flexible hours including weekends
