Salary: £28,841.54 per annum (£13.78 per hour)
Hours: Average 40.25 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday

Are you ready to step up and support operational excellence in a fast-paced warehousing and packaging environment? MM Flowers is looking for a motivated Section Leader to assist the Section Manager in managing daily activities across intake, packaging, or yard areas.

The Section Leader in the Picking Department supports the Picking Section Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the picking area. This role ensures the accurate and efficient picking of products, adherence to health and safety standards, and the smooth coordination of the team to meet operational objectives. The Section Leader acts as a key link between operatives and management, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure consistent performance.

What You\’ll Do:

Ensure the accurate and timely picking of orders, meeting or exceeding performance targets.
Maintain smooth day-to-day operations, addressing challenges quickly and effectively.
Build a motivated, engaged, and high-performing team capable of meeting operational demands.
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations within the picking area.
Drive and support initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and team performance.

What We\’re Looking For:

Experience in a warehouse or picking environment.
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Training or certification in health and safety (e.g., IOSH).
Experience with lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene standards in a warehouse or production environment.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
