Are you a commercially minded data analyst looking to step into a true business partnering role? At MM Flowers, we supply fresh cut flowers and bouquets to the UK’s leading retailers. As a fast-paced, data-driven FMCG business, we are looking for a Junior Finance Business Partner to join our growing Finance team and help drive performance through insight, collaboration and smart decision-making.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner / UK Finance Director, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, bridging Commercial, NPD and Finance. You’ll leverage data to:
- Enable better commercial decision-making
- Improve operational efficiency
- Drive ROI on key projects
- Enhance overall business performance
This is a highly visible role where your analysis will directly influence pricing, promotions, customer performance and new product launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Integration & Reporting
- Maintain and enhance data processes to ensure accuracy and accessibility
- Develop dashboards and self-service reporting tools (Power BI, Excel, Tableau)
- Deliver clear, meaningful reports with actionable insight
- Commercial & Financial Analysis
- Analyse customer and SKU performance to identify trends and opportunities
- Support ROI analysis and sensitivity modelling for commercial and NPD initiatives
- Evaluate pricing, profitability and promotional activity
- Provide financial insight into new product launches
- Business Partnering
- Act as a key link between Commercial, NPD and Finance teams
- Support financial planning and performance tracking
- Translate complex analysis into clear, engaging insight for stakeholders
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline reporting
- Improve data integrity and workflow efficiency
- Partner with IT and data teams to enhance systems and processes
About You
Essential:
- Experience in a data-driven role (Data Analyst, Business Analyst or similar), ideally within FMCG or manufacturing
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI, Tableau and/or SQL
- Strong analytical skills with experience working across multiple data sources
- Financial modelling, ROI evaluation and profitability analysis experience
- Confident working cross-functionally with Commercial and Finance stakeholders
Desirable:
- Experience using ERP systems (e.g. Rubicon)
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Exposure to NPD processes and commercial evaluation
