Shape the future of technical excellence at MM Flowers. We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Technical to lead in our technical function at MM Flowers – one of the UK’s leading suppliers of fresh-cut flowers to major retailers.
In this pivotal role, you’ll drive the quality, compliance, and innovation agenda across our operations, lead and develop a high-performing technical team, and strengthen our customer partnerships through clear, data-led leadership. You’ll be a key influencer across the business and play a critical role in our growth and technical reputation in the industry.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading, coaching, and managing the technical team (including technologists and coordinators)
- Acting as technical account manager for major customers and building strong external relationships
- Overseeing compliance with all relevant safety, legal, and customer standards (HACCP, QMS, etc.)
- Championing continuous improvement and innovation in product quality and technical standards
- Providing data-led insights and reports to operational and senior leadership teams
- Supporting and contributing to the wider business strategy and cross-functional collaboration
- Representing MM Flowers as a technical leader both internally and within the industry
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience in a senior technical role within cut flowers, food, or manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, legal compliance, and customer requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- A strategic thinker with the ability to drive continuous improvement
- Proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams
- Commercial awareness and an ability to align technical strategy with business goals
