You will be working closely with business superusers and senior stakeholders from across our business. The Business Systems Manager will cover a wide breadth and depth working alongside a small multi-skilled team. You will have considerable breadth and depth in leading at least 2 of the following with implementation and ongoing support of: ERP, MRP, WMS, or EDI systems support and implementation.
Essential previous experience:
- BPM (business process modelling)
- Mapping as-is and to-be processes
- Basic SQL
- Power BI or legacy report writing
- Using Jira
- Writing test scripts
- Helping/training super-users
You will have previous related experience in the FMCG industry, probably in Food, Prepared Food, Fresh Produce or our industry of Flowers. This is a key role for MM Flowers during an exciting time of change, transformation, and enablement of future business critical projects. The role will be a key enabler on the delivery of significant technology focused projects, and the continual development of the digital landscape across the business. This is a huge opportunity to utilise your previous experience to assist in the successful delivery of business transformation.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring software is released defect free to agreed timescales to change control.
- Delivering high quality end user documentation.
- Ensuring super-users understand their supporting roles and develop the role of super users to maximise their value back into our systems.
- Consulting with Senior Management for new features, writing bar raising specs, collaborating with suppliers on what can be delivered within our timeframe to specification in 1 phase or phased approach with Senior Management approval.
- Supporting the entire life cycle of critical (ERP & WMS) solutions including discovery, design, build, test and data management.
- Identify, challenge, and agree the business benefits achievable through digital transformation.
- Defining and documenting the "as-is" and "to-be" core business processes and clearing defining the end-to-end business journeys.
- Define, set-up and execute test cases.
- Assist in the delivery of the data strategy unlocking the value of data across the application portfolio through making the right data available to the right people at the right time.
- Ensure that applications cost-effectively meet the needs of the business.
- Work with the team to develop the strategy for the application portfolio, engaging stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide the platforms that enable growth.
- Analysing the impact (good or bad) of expected outcomes on the ERP & WMS applications, in terms of people, processes and technologies to ensure business outcomes are devised and successfully achieved.
- Subject Matter Expert and point of escalation for our business systems estate.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years' experience in similar roles.
- Delivering related projects within a fast-paced business, medium sized organisations.
- Working in a controlled environment with experience, knowledge, and desire to continuously improve.
- Deliver solutions within the appropriate framework and methodology whilst ensuring the supportability of services delivered.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
